Beat the ticket office queues by renewing your Season ticket online!


After registering here with Southern you will be able to renew your Monthly Season ticket which will allow you to pay for & collect your next Monthly Season ticket from any Southern self-service ticket vending machine. You can also choose to receive email reminders so you will never be caught out with an expired ticket!


Here's how it works

Once you have registered you can renew your Monthly Season ticket* by:


  • Step 1: Select Renew Your Season Ticket from the menu on the left
  • Step 2: Select Monthly from the ticket type drop-down list, and enter the expiry date of your current ticket
  • Step 3: Enter your Photocard number and tick the box if you would like a season ticket renewal email reminder


You will then be issued a PIN number.


Goto your local Southern station and follow the onscreen instructions at any Southern self-service ticket vending machine, using your PIN and Photocard number, to renew your ticket. Its that simple!


* Student season tickets, or discounted season tickets are excluded from this service

You will have to have a current Monthly Season ticket before you can use this service. If you dont already have one you can purchase your Monthly Season ticket from a Southern ticket office (unfortunately, it won't work if you have bought your ticket online from You will also need to have a valid Photocard ID in order to have a Monthly Season ticket, which you can obtain from a ticket office.

How far in advance can I renew my ticket?

Using the self-service ticket vending machines you can only renew your ticket anytime after noon the day before your new ticket starts.


What if I want to renew my ticket earlier?

You will have to visit a Southern ticket office in order to renew your ticket earlier. This can be done up to seven days in advance of your current ticket's expiry date.
